Finance Manager - Mergers & Acquisitions

Location: Kent
Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and commercially-minded Corporate Finance Manager to lead key corporate finance and M&A initiatives, with a primary focus on investment strategy, acquisitions, and business integration. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in evaluating strategic opportunities, shaping financial outcomes, and supporting decision-making at the highest level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee financial evaluation and due diligence for acquisitions, partnerships, and other strategic transactions.
  • Design and manage detailed financial models to assess performance, forecast returns, and evaluate business cases.
  • Provide valuation analysis using multiple methodologies including DCF, comparables, and precedent transactions.
  • Support the assessment of market trends and potential investment opportunities through rigorous research.
  • Coordinate transaction processes, working closely with internal departments and external advisers.
  • Collaborate with legal, tax, and compliance teams to ensure efficient and compliant deal structuring.
  • Prepare internal reports and investment materials for senior executives and board-level presentations.
  • Monitor the performance of acquired entities or projects, including ROI and synergy tracking.
  • Act as a key point of contact for financial institutions, stakeholders, and external funders.


Key Skills & Experience:

  • Demonstrable experience in a finance or corporate development role with exposure to mergers, acquisitions, or strategic investments.
  • Expertise in financial modelling, forecasting, and valuation.
  • Strong command of financial statements and accounting fundamentals.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Confident communicator with experience presenting to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Highly analytical with strong commercial instincts.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with high attention to detail.
