Financial Accountant (Contract to Perm)

We are the exclusive recruitment partner of a private property investment and development companies (one of the largest in Ireland). This is an exciting opportunity for a Qualified Accountant who is interested in joining a strong Irish business with over 40 years of business behind them and an interesting future ahead.

This position would report to the Financial Controller, the ideal candidate will be a confident individual who is not afraid to put their hands on all aspects of accounting

Duties will Include:

• Work with the FC to manage the entire process of income collection from billing to collection.
• Treasury management.
• Review monthly bank reconciliations prepared by the Assistant Accountant.
• Assist FC in annual budgeting and 5-Year Planning (including mid-year updates if necessary).
• Prepare monthly management accounts (e.g. Rental Income, Deferred Income, Salaries, WIP, Accruals, Prepayment etc.).
• Ensure all Balance Sheet and control accounts are regularly reconciled.
• Estate Accounting Management - budgeting and ensuring all services are charge/billed to tenants in a timely manner
• Credit Control - implement best practice procedures (including debt recovery agencies) to ensure prompt collection
• Prepare month-end reports for the Estate Manager monitoring Actual performance versus Budget and ensuring all estates are properly funded at all times
• Prepare VAT returns and other statutory and regulatory returns including PAYE/PRSI, RCT for review

The successful candidate will have:

• Strong academic background, qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA) or equivalent
• 1-3 years PEQ
• Self -starter with ability to work on their own initiative
• Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
