Start your job searchAn excellent opportunity to join a Big4 organisation based on site with one of their government clients in a FP&A type position. This contract is for a minimum of 1 years but is likely to go on significantly longer.
The position will play an important part within the finance function in a mainly project based accounting environment. The successful candidate will gain excellent exposure to end to end accounting within a fast paced commercially focused government body.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with a minimum of 3 years experience in hands on finance roles. A strong interest in business partnering and financial analytics is essential for this role.
Duties will include:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts including analysing and investigating variances;
- Preparation of monthly balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations;
- Assisting with the preparation of year-end accounts and liaising with the auditors;
- Financial analysis, reporting expertise and financial support to the business;
- Continuous improvement of financial reporting processes;
- Annual budgeting and forecasting process;
Requirements
- Qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA/CPA
- Excellent excel skills
- Computer/IT literate
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload
