Unique and diverse role at a medium sized Fund Manager for an experienced and driven Financial Controller to take the helm of the UK finance team. The firm are a truly global business with asset management activities spread across Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas and an ecclectic portfolio of traditional as well as alternative assets. Their London office is a key hub of activity with a dynamic, diverse and sociable workforce. This role is the most senior finance position in the UK and offers plenty of exposure to the wider business and the Group CFO. Your role will involve managing all financial, management, tax and regulatory reporting for the UK business, budgeting and forecasting, head office reporting, cash management and plenty of ad hoc project work. You'll have a small team responsible for producing the numbers and a key component of the role will be developing productive working relationships with front, middle and back office counterparts in the UK and globally.

You'll need to be a qualified accountant - CA, ACA or equivalent - with relevant post qualified experience in financial services and ideally a background working for a small to medium sized company. There's also a strong preference for someone who has gained their initial training in an accounting firm. The firm offers a high performance environment and relaxed and easy going culture and is seeking an adaptable individual with strong interpersonal skills, ideas, creativity and plenty of gravitas and personality. Strong academics are essential alongside a broad background at FC or Head of Finance level or equivalent.
