Interim Fund Finance Manager (Private Equity) - 6-9m contract
6-Month Contract | London | £550-£650 per day (via umbrella)

About the company

An exciting contract opportunity has arisen in a well established private equity firm with several Billion GBP AUM who are recruiting for an interim Senior Fund Controller with expertise in the private equity fund sector. This is a pivotal role within the organisation, reporting the CFO with full responsibility for the fund finance function, with exposure to valuations, investor relations, and deal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead on accounting and reporting for the funds
• Manage and review month-end packs, quarterly reports, and statutory accounts for Guernsey domiciled funds
• Oversee drawdowns, distributions, and fund flow coordination
• Support quarterly valuations process by reviewing the inputs and valuation methodologies and liaise with deal teams
• Oversight of investor reporting and outputs to external investors
• Producing fund waterfalls and carry models
• Act as key contact for auditors and investor relations on fund queries
• Monitor treasury aspects including FX strategies, fund finance bridges, and covenants
• Manage and mentor a small fund finance team
• Contribute to ad-hoc projects and process improvements

Candidate Profile

• ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
• Private Equity fund finance experience is essential
• Strong leadership skills with prior team management experience
• Clear communicator, detail-oriented, and able to prioritise in a fast-paced environment
• Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working independently
