Marks Sattin are delighted to be recruiting for a Group Reporting Manager for a retail business based in the North West. This is a 6 month FTC with the potential of being extended.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation and timely completion of the consolidated group annual report and subsidiary accounts.
- Lead the production of the group's annual and half-year financial reporting.
- Manage monthly and year-end consolidation, ensuring accuracy in statutory and consolidation adjustments.
- Proactively handle the year-end audit, serving as the main point of contact for auditors and ensuring all deliverables are met within deadlines.
- Implement and monitor robust processes and best practice controls across statutory and financial reporting to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of all regulatory reporting requirements.
- Lead and develop a team of qualified and non-qualified accountants, fostering a motivated and high-performing team environment.
About you:
- Qualified accountant, preferably with Big 4 ACA background.
- Strong technical accounting skills.
- Proven track record in leading and developing teams.
- Experience with large group consolidations is essential.
- Preferred experience in plc and financial services sectors.
- Retail industry experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and adhere to strict deadlines.
- Proactive, driven, and growth-oriented mindset.
- Experience working in a best practice control environment.
