Job Title: Interim Commercial Finance Analyst

Duration: 6 months

Location: Coventry

Day Rate: £350 per day

Start Date: ASAP

About the Business:

Marks Sattin is recruiting for our client, a leading multi-site organisation operating in a fast‑paced and commercially driven environment. This is a business known for innovation and a strong commercial footprint across the UK. Following some restructuring, they require an experienced Interim Commercial Finance Analyst to support the team over the next six months.

The Role:

Reporting directly to the Commercial Finance Manager, you will play a key role in delivering high quality financial insight to support decision‑making across the senior leadership team. This is a hands‑on, analytical role suited to someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast‑moving environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Business partnering with commercial teams and wider finance function to provide financial insight and challenge
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and month‑end processes
  • Analysing sales, margin, and promotional performance
  • Preparing commercial dashboards and KPI reporting
  • Supporting pricing, profitability, and customer analysis
  • Identifying risks, opportunities, and performance trends
  • Helping drive process improvements across the commercial finance function


To be considered, you will:

  • Be a Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
  • Have prior experience within a highly analytical and business partnering role within a commercial finance function
  • Have advanced Excel skills with the ability to interpret data and provide commercial insight
  • Be a confident communicator able to partner with non‑finance stakeholders
  • Be comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving environment
  • Have experience within a fast-paced environment. Preferably FMCG, Retail or Wholesale
  • Have prior experience in an interim or contract role (not essential)
  • Have exposure within a large, complex, multi‑site organisation
