Interim Management Accountant, Stroud, £40-45K, 3-6 months
Are you a confident finance professional with a knack for precision and a passion for purpose? We're looking for a Management Accountant to join a small finance team of three, delivering accurate, timely management accounts that drive smart decision-making.
Reporting to the Director of Operations, you'll be instrumental in analysing financial performance, ensuring compliance with charity-specific regulations, and supporting strategic planning during a key transitional period.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Finance team, overseeing workload and performance.
Maintain accurate financial records in line with charity SORP.
Prepare monthly management accounts with clear variance analysis.
Ensure compliance with financial policies and charity legislation.
Oversee VAT returns, payroll, and associated tax submissions.
Monitor Restricted and Unrestricted funds, ensuring correct allocation and reporting.
Collaborate with income generation teams to support grant applications and donor reporting.
Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency.
Support budgeting and forecasting alongside your line manager.
Act as the principal contact for external auditors during fieldwork.
