We are delighted to be working in partnership with this Global Organisation in Yorkshire to help recruit an M&A Business Partner. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ACA Qualified within Corporate Finance or Transaction Services for their 1st move into industry.

Responsibilities:-

  • The role will be a key support for the UK M&A team in the provision of high quality business analysis and project support to drive the identification and implementation of strategic growth opportunities within UK
  • To support in ensuring that new business opportunities are assessed, appraised and delivered in line with UK strategy
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support progression of M&A Transactions across UK, covering all aspect from business appraisal, business case development to due diligence and transaction support.
  • Assist Acquisition Director with significant financial and commercial business exercises including strategic planning and forecasting and the evaluation of investment proposals for continued growth and development, ensuring alignment.
  • Support the Acquisition Director in driving the commercial success of the business, working cross-functionally in a collaborative and effective way.
  • Manage a small team of one or more Business Analysts
  • Support the Acquisition Director in the development and implementation of an ongoing programme of acquisitions and divestments.
  • Lead smaller transactions including multidisciplinary working groups
  • Support a full disposal service ensuring proceeds and profit on sale are maximised.
  • Assist the Acquisition Director and wider M&A function in pro-actively seeking, evaluating, proposing and acquiring opportunities that meet the business's strategic criteria.

Requirements:-

  • Educated to degree standard with a professional accounting qualification and relevant post qualification commercial experience, including strong M&A from target identification, negotiation to execution and integration.
  • Experience of working in a business partnering role and a pragmatic and adaptable outlook, recognising the sector and business is embarking on a period of significant change.
  • Experience and ability to carry out financial appraisals and modelling including the creation of bespoke complex models.
  • A good relationship builder, who is able to support and challenge colleagues at all levels of seniority from different functions in a constructive and effective manner.
