Marks Sattin are delighted to be working in exclusive partnership with Thai Leisure Group (TLG) as they look to expand their finance team and introduce a newly created role as Management Accountant.
TLG are proud to be the UK's only multi-brand Thai restaurant group. Founded in Leeds in 2004, they have been expanding nationally ever since, and now have four amazing brands across 18 restaurants.
The Role…
TLG are now searching for a management accountant who will be a critical member of a small finance team. Working closely with the new Head of Finance, you will be responsible for the provision of timely management accounts.
The successful individual will be comfortable working in a fast paced, entrepreneurial SME environment and taking ownership and responsibility. At the same time, they also need to be 'hands-on' to deliver the requirements of the business and not scared to get involved in the detail.
Reporting to the Head of Finance responsibilities will include:
- Production of Monthly management accounts
- Full supporting balance sheet reconciliations
- KPI analysis including commentary
- Variance analysis
- Assisting the head of finance with system development and maintenance
- Brand & Location P&Ls & Business partnering
- Supporting the head of finance with year-end audit
- Supporting the head of finance with any ad hoc projects
- Mentoring of finance assistant
The list of responsibilities is by no means exhaustive. Support will be provided by the Head of Finance as required.
What we are looking for…
- A part or newly qualified Accountant - ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent
- Bring entrepreneurial spirit, passion and drive
- Have a continuous Improvement mind-set who continues to challenge the status quo
- Be a true team player, with a positive, can-do, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude
- Be a strong communicator (verbally and written) and relationship builder with a wide range of stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail
- Willing to travel
- Ability to work independently as required
- Working towards a recognised accountancy qualification (part qualified)
- Highly numerate with excellent excel and analytical skills
- Hospitality experience is desired but not essential
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week
Holiday allowance: 25 days per year plus statutory days
