Start your job searchMarks Sattin are delighted to be partnered with a fast growing independent advisory firm that is continuing its expansion within its Bristol office by hiring a Restructuring Advisory Assistant Manager into the team.
**This is a fantastic opportunity for a Qualified (or finalist) Accountant that is looking for a challenging role within Advisory - that is either a first time mover out of Audit (with exposure to distressed businesses) or someone who has Advisory experience via a Secondment or currently positioned in an Advisory role looking for a fresh challenge**
This role will be inclusive of corporate insolvency as well as corporate advisory projects.
Their is an attractive salary package attached to this position for the right candidate dependent on experience.
Main Responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of corporate insolvency cases including CVLs, MVLs and Administrations
- Assisting in corporate advisory and independent review (IBR's) projects
- Contingency planning and preparing for an insolvency process
- Monitoring WIP on cases and managing costs to budget
- Assist in providing training to the team and ensure compliance is kept up to date.
- Assisting in the assessment of the fundamental drivers of the business, getting underneath the reasons for variances and underperformance
Skill Requirements
- ACCA/ACA Qualified is desirable but will consider a strong finalist
- Previous experience of working on advisory projects / working with distressed businesses is desirable
- Capable of being able to work autonomously, whilst liaising directly with the senior management team
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to transition into an Advisory role that will be directly reporting into Senior Management with more of a Corporate Advisory focus. You'll be joining a hugely ambitious firm that is still keen to continue it's impressive growth strategy in 2020.
