Are you a Digital Business Analyst with a passion for energy trading and a drive to shape the future of sustainable energy? We're hiring a Digital Senior Business Analyst to join a dynamic and forward-thinking trading organisation at the forefront of the global energy transition.
This is a permanent hybrid role based in London, offering a competitive salary of up to £85,000 and the opportunity to work on cutting-edge digital transformation projects in the energy and biofuels trading space.
🔍 The Role
As a Digital Senior Business Analyst, you'll play a pivotal role in the transformation of digital systems and processes across the trading lifecycle. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams-including Front Office, Risk, Finance, and Back Office-to deliver innovative, cloud-native solutions that support both physical and financial commodity trading.
You'll be responsible for:
- Leading requirements gathering, analysis, and solution design using agile and design thinking methodologies.
- Translating business needs into data-driven and microservices-based digital solutions.
- Collaborating with development teams to prototype and deliver scalable cloud-native applications.
- Supporting the full application lifecycle-from concept to post go-live support.
- Mentoring junior team members and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
✅ What You'll Need
To succeed in this role, you must bring a strong blend of business acumen and technical expertise, particularly in the energy trading domain.
Essential:
- Proven experience as a Digital Business Analyst in a technology-driven environment.
- ETRM (Energy Trading and Risk Management) system experience is a must.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, microservices, and data-driven design.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work across diverse teams.
Desirable:
- Experience in the energy or commodities trading sector.
- Familiarity with tools and technologies such as AI/ML, BI, low/no-code platforms, and cybersecurity.
- Exposure to agile delivery, UX design, and digital transformation initiatives.
