**Position Overview:**

Interim Senior Financial Accountant required for a well recognised chairty organisation - Maternity Cover of 9 months with potential for extension!

**Responsibilities:**

- Lead a dynamic team in managing and controlling financial resources, ensuring operational effectiveness, and maintaining compliance with relevant legislation.

- Oversee the production and communication of financial information to stakeholders, including consolidated Statutory Accounts and external reporting.

- Manage payment processes, staff salaries, and provide financial advice across the organization.

- Directly supervise two Financial Accountants and two Finance Officers, ensuring the team's effectiveness and technical compliance.

- Take charge of primary ledgers, financial controls, balance sheet reconciliation, cash flow, VAT/Tax compliance, and statutory accounts production.

**Qualifications:**

- Qualified accountant with a background in a complex organizational finance function.

- Experience in producing consolidated Statutory Accounts and handling external audit requirements.

- Up-to-date knowledge of general accounting principles and the ability to interpret and apply legislation.

- Proactive mindset, capable of reviewing and enhancing internal processes and procedures for continuous improvement.

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to understand diverse stakeholder needs.

- Ability to work in a high-performance finance function, motivating and developing a team to deliver results.
