Senior Management Accountant

About the Role

As a Senior Management Accountant, you'll work closely with the Client Financial Controller, managing a portfolio of larger clients with complex reporting needs. You'll be responsible for preparing management accounts, VAT returns, and year-end accounts, while also playing a key role in software projects and client support.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare management accounts and VAT returns for larger clients.
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations to year-end standard.
• Develop budgeting and forecasting models (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Provide insightful financial reporting and variance analysis.
• Support software transitions (e.g., Xero conversions, training, and support).
• Mentor junior team members and review delegated work.
• Maintain high standards of accuracy, professionalism, and client service.

What We're Looking For

• Experience in accountancy practice firm
• Strong background in management accounts preparation.
• Experience with Xero, Sage, and other accounting software is a plus.
• AAT qualified (or equivalent); Qualified or Finalist ACA or ACCA qualification preferred.
• Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive, flexible, and team-oriented approach.
