We are representing a highly regarded, London based private equity buyout fund a newly/recently qualified ACA. This is to join as a management accountant in their excellent finance team.

This role will suit someone who is happiest working in a small, hardworking team and covering a broad range of tasks. An open, engaged mind-set is advantageous, as there is opportunity to gain exposure to other facets of financial expertise across Tax, VAT, deals and transactions, and to understand why businesses are structured a certain way in private equity. Some of the responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly consolidated management accounts & board reports for the group
  • Assisting with the preparation of annual statutory accounts for all group companies
  • Inputting to, maintaining and reconciling the NetSuite accounting system
  • Preparation of month end journals & reconciliations (fixed assets, accruals, prepayments, revaluations etc.)
  • Assist with maintenance of the purchase ledger system
  • Monthly PAYE / NI payments & reconciliations
  • Intercompany reconciliations across the group
  • Cash management, including monitoring and reconciling bank accounts, preparing cashbooks, entering cash journals, weekly movements reports, FX forwards monitoring & EMIR returns
  • Preparation of the group's VAT returns including Partial Exemption calculations and EC sales lists
  • Provision of required analysis to tax accountant for completion of tax returns
  • Continually looking for improvements to procedures and processes
  • Assist with other ad-hoc projects and tasks the team may have

The ideal candidate will be a recently qualified ACA, preferably with accounts prep experience and exposure to financial services in their audit clients however this is not a necessity; more important is aptitude, drive and ambition.

Remuneration will in the region of £50,000 - £55,000 with discretionary bonus and other excellent benefits.
