Accounts Assistant (Contract - 3-6 Months), Tewkesbury, £32-37K
4 days office-based, 1 day WFH
We're looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a well established finance team on an initial 3-6 month contract. This is a hands-on, transactional role offering a great opportunity to step into a busy environment where accuracy, structure, and process really matter.
You'll be trusted with core billing and master data activities, working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth, well controlled finance operations.

Key Responsibilities
Raise and process sales invoices accurately and on time
Maintain and update finance system standing data, including:
New supplier set-ups
Bank detail changes
Adding and amending information
Other master data updates as required
Ensure internal controls and approval processes are followed consistently
Respond to and resolve billing queries, liaising with wider teams as needed
Support month-end billing and revenue-related processes
Maintain strong data integrity across finance systems

Skills & Experience
Proven experience in billing, accounts receivable, or a similar transactional finance role
Strong attention to detail and a consistent focus on accuracy
Experience managing standing/master data within finance systems
Comfortable working in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
Clear communicator who works well with stakeholders at all levels
Confident Excel user with experience of finance systems
This role would suit a reliable, detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys structured work, can pick things up quickly, and is happy to add value in a contract setting.
