Accounts Assistant - London

Seeking an Accounts Assistant for a 6-month contract within a Manufacturing company based in South West London. In this role, you will be working under a Senior Management Accountant and COO. Working with a small team of Sales, Operations, Service, Marketing and Finance specialists, you will be central to a busy office.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as purchase invoicing, cashflow, payments to third party suppliers and allocation of cash.
  • Managing and processing month-end payment run.
  • Cash and credit card expense posting and statement reconciliations.
  • Create POs and suppliers when required.
  • Review and check mileage claims.
  • Oversee accounts shared inbox-forward emails to the relevant person.
  • Review and update new customer's accounts.
  • Send out statements to customers.
  • Support updating stock counts and costs.
  • Assist with weekly dashboard for senior management.
  • Other ad-hoc finance duties and reports where necessary.

Qualities Required:

  • Competent in Microsoft office, including intermediate excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas etc).
  • Software knowledge of Lakeview (ERP) advantageous but not essential.
  • Solid communication skills both written and verbal and a Team player.
  • Attention to detail in terms of getting it right first time, organisational & analytical skills.
  • Strong bookkeeping skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
