Start your job searchAn Accounts Receivable Clerk is needed for a 6 month FTC to help a fast growing, international recruitment business based in Central London. The role is hybrid working.
It will suit an entry level candidate who has willingness to learn and is a self-starter.
Previous experience with Sage is preferable but not essential.
Responsibilities:
- Update the daily bank balances report
- Download the daily bank receipts and import into the Excel cashbooks
- Allocate payment receipts to customer accounts
- Import the allocated cash receipts into the accounting system and post the deposits
- Chase missing remittances for cash being posted
- Saving all remittances received by email and filing them by company and value
- Process the transfer of funds on the bank system between companies if received in the wrong company
- Raise manual credit notes and invoices and post on to the AR ledger when required
- Process refunds & write off requests
- Perform day-end processes effectively (penny write offs, run reports)
- Set up new customer records on the sales ledger
- Carry out new company credit searches if required
- Perform weekly and month-end bank reconciliations
- Dealing with telephone and email queries (internally and externally)
Requirements:
- Looking for an entry level role
- May have experience within in an accounts function but it is not necessary
- Will be diligent and hard working with strong attention to detail
- Will be working with Excel and Sage so prior experience is an advantage but not a prerequisite
- May have knowledge of Accounts Receivable ledger and cash allocation but it is not necessary
- Will have excellent communication skills
