Start your job searchMarks Sattin are currently working with a well-known Harrogate business for the role of Assistant Accountant. This role is a newly created role, due to an internal promotion and will be responsible for transactional processing (Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Cash Management) for the group.
They are looking for a candidate with 1-3 years' experience within Finance and is currently studying AAT. The company will support the development of the candidate coming into the role, allowing them to gain exposure to month end processing/reporting.
For this role, they will pay up to £29,000, can offer hybrid working (2 days WFH per week) and can support with study support AAT/ACCA/CIMA.
Duties & Responsibilities of the role include:
- Provide high quality, accurate and timely transactional processing for AP, AR and Cash Management
- Manage the day-to-day processing of all cashbooks as well as bank reconciliations. Responsible for the development of a rolling 12-week cashflow forecast for all UK businesses.
- Ensure that the financial records contain accurate and complete information and support the preparation and review of all Balance Sheet ledger reconciliations.
- Work with the Head of Group Reporting in making operational improvements to transactional processes, controls, systems and technology to ensure that the finance function works as efficiently and effectively as possible.
- Have a working knowledge of key accounting and reporting software
- Support the Head of Group Reporting with adhoc projects and activities.
