My client is an exciting business who has had substantial grow over the past few years.

As the Assistant Accountant you will be reporting directly to the head of finance and will be undertaking preparation of accounts with a mix of transactional accounting.

This role is ideal for an earlier studier looking to widen their skills and knowledge and develop in their careers.

Your day to day duties will include:

• Assist with month-end close and report preparation, ensuring deadlines are met
• Undertake balance sheet reconciliations
• Processing invoices and expense requests
• Liaising with third party providers, clients and suppliers
• Updating and maintaining procedural documentation
• Preparation and submission of VAT return
• Assisting with ad-hoc tasks as required
• Collaborate with other departments and provide support as required

What you will need:

• Good understanding of financial transactions
• Ability to work to strict deadlines
• Previous experience working with Sage (Desirable)
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel

Experience required:

• Have a passion for accounts and finance
• Hold a degree in Accounting or finance
• A desire to study
• Have excellent attention to detail
