I am working a Leading FMCG business who are expanding their team and looking for a Commercial Financial Accountant to join them.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, part of your responsibility will be to manage the day-to-day finance function alongside managing a team of two.

Job Role:

Responsible for delivering accurate and timely internal and external reporting.

• Month end process - Including preparation of monthly accounts, overhead costs, accruals and journals
• Monthly variance analysis including commentary
• Balance sheet reconciliation and dealing with any discrepancies
• Monthly Group reporting
• Line managing 2 staff members - appraisals, training, performance reviews
• Taking Ownership and managing the cost centres
• Preparing cost centre budgets and forecasts
• Holding budget meetings quarterly with the Senior Management Team
• Understanding of IFRS 16 calculation
• Year end audit support
• Supporting the Finance Manager with any other duties

The ideal candidate will have an interest and experience working within Commercial Finance, be studying an Accountancy qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) and be near completion and also able to work in a fast paced environment.
