My client, a leader in the property industry is looking to recruit a commercial analyst to join their team. This is an amazing company and a big opportunity to settle in to a household named business and move up the ladder.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Commercial data and analysis

  • Enhancing and maintaining the Management Information (MI) infrastructure. Using modern Business intelligence software (Microsoft Power BI) and working with a relationship-based database (SQL) to provide a wide range of flexible analysis and reports for the company. Using Visual Studio, Azure and SSMS to automate and enhance existing processes and reports.
  • Assisting on Budget P&L build, including the creation of templates for Turnover and CoS, attending commercial meetings to review regional submissions and working closely with the FC and Head of FP&A to build platform costs. Additionally, assisting the Head of FP&A to rebase the Budget as required.
  • Assisting with commercial analysis pertaining to the sales pipeline, sales data. Working closely with the Head of FP&A, Head of Marketing and Divisional MDs to provide insight into sales performance and forecasting future performance.
  • Ownership of the commercial pricing model and database, tracking performance and identifying trends and working with the Head of FP&A to develop the pricing model to optimise pricing to maximise revenue.

Business partnering/reporting

  • Prepare short, concise narrative to feed into the Board report and group reporting based on the business partnering.
  • Assist with the collation and submission of the Board report

Other projects/duties

  • Other ad-hoc projects as needed, such as working with marketing on understanding on customer base through data capture and analysis.
  • Helping maintain the relationship database and analytics package

Key Skills:

Essential

  • Comfortable with data
  • Advanced skills in Excel, refer to the test (Pivot tables, indexes, date manipulation)
  • Strong SQL programming
  • Financial Literacy
    • Understand P&L
    • Writing reports (Board Report)
    • Difference between Opex and Capex

Preferred

  • Familiar with Salesforce
  • Experienced with PowerBI
  • Understanding of the Property Market
    • Basic understanding of KPIs
  • Familiar with Visual Studio
  • Have assisted on a budget process
  • Newly qualified

Soft Skills

  • High level of written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to be both hands-on with the data but be able to see the big picture
  • Intellectually sharp, bright, quick, inquisitive, sense of humour,
  • Driven to achieve
  • Good interpersonal skills
