KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Experience working in a commercial environment, preferably in distribution activities
- Analytical and numerate with a highly developed ability to problem solve
- Expert level IT skills with experience of commercial computer systems
- Good knowledge and understanding of business processes
- Able to communicate with technical staff and to translate information for non-technical staff
- Experience of developing reports to satisfy business requirements through the appropriate use of reporting tools and data analysis
- Well-developed influence and persuasion skills
- Initiative while being able to react to changing priorities
Able to cope with tight deadlines
KEY AREAS
- Clear understanding of the customer terms process and development of the terms tool
- Develop and create a robust approach to managing through supplier price increases
- Review current reporting processes and implement improvements where necessary
- Create reports, review and analyse data sources and implement changes where necessary
- Management and control the company's approach to rebate support rates
- Ensure accuracy of data extracted from management systems
- Ensure production of accurate and timely reports as requested
- Work with the data producers to ensure consistent and relevant flow of commercial information to the business
- Train and advise data producers as necessary to ensure good understanding of the business needs
- Advise and guide operations, sales and commercial functions to ensure good understanding of reported data
- Translate data and information into presentations and reports for review and decision making by the Executive
- Undertake projects and tasks as requested by the Executive Board
- To manage and control margin information and analysis, providing timely and accurate data and being part of an effective decision making process.
- To ensure business data processes produce accurate, timely and fit for purpose data in line with the company's needs and requirements.
- To assist in coordinating and managing the company's approach to Green Book pricing, customer terms and overall pricing strategy.
- To manage and control the company's approach to rebate support rates and sharing of margin information within the business.
