KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Experience working in a commercial environment, preferably in distribution activities
  • Analytical and numerate with a highly developed ability to problem solve
  • Expert level IT skills with experience of commercial computer systems
  • Good knowledge and understanding of business processes
  • Able to communicate with technical staff and to translate information for non-technical staff
  • Experience of developing reports to satisfy business requirements through the appropriate use of reporting tools and data analysis
  • Well-developed influence and persuasion skills
  • Initiative while being able to react to changing priorities

Able to cope with tight deadlines

KEY AREAS

  • Clear understanding of the customer terms process and development of the terms tool
  • Develop and create a robust approach to managing through supplier price increases
  • Review current reporting processes and implement improvements where necessary
  • Create reports, review and analyse data sources and implement changes where necessary
  • Management and control the company's approach to rebate support rates
  • Ensure accuracy of data extracted from management systems
  • Ensure production of accurate and timely reports as requested
  • Work with the data producers to ensure consistent and relevant flow of commercial information to the business
  • Train and advise data producers as necessary to ensure good understanding of the business needs
  • Advise and guide operations, sales and commercial functions to ensure good understanding of reported data
  • Translate data and information into presentations and reports for review and decision making by the Executive
  • Undertake projects and tasks as requested by the Executive Board
  • To manage and control margin information and analysis, providing timely and accurate data and being part of an effective decision making process.
  • To ensure business data processes produce accurate, timely and fit for purpose data in line with the company's needs and requirements.
  • To assist in coordinating and managing the company's approach to Green Book pricing, customer terms and overall pricing strategy.
  • To manage and control the company's approach to rebate support rates and sharing of margin information within the business.
