Marks Sattin are delighted to be partnered with an expanding Corporate Finance team based in Manchester for the recruitment of a Corporate Finance - M&A Manager.

As a Manager, you will use your entrepreneurial flair to not only engage with clients but to get to know their businesses and provide them with the support and knowledge that they will need throughout the deal process. We are looking for someone who can provide their expertise to maximise the potential of every part of the deal process.

Key Deliverables

  • Assisting in lead advisory low to mid-market assignments (Value of c. £10-150m)
  • Assist the Senior Leadership team and other members of the CF team to enable them to provide strategic and technical advice and guidance to clients with regard to acquisitions, disposals, and other M&A transactions
  • Preparing business valuations, identifying and approaching potential acquirers
  • Create and review financial models to assist in the evaluation of the business and prospects for a client, and the potential returns of a transaction
  • Assisting with queries arising from the acquirers' due diligence processes
  • Prepare and support presentations (pitching for business as well as management and bid presentations)

The ideal candidate will be

  • ACA/ACCA/CFA qualified
  • Thorough working knowledge of sell-side and/or buy-side corporate finance advisory activities
  • Transactional experience would be advantageous but is not essential
  • Demonstrable interest in OMBs and SMEs and the markets in which you operate
  • Outstanding communication skills and commercial acumen
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel
