Marks Sattin is proud to be partnering with a respected professional services firm in their search for a Corporate Tax Associate Director to join the Private Capital corporate tax team. This is an exceptional opportunity to work with an impressive portfolio of clients, from owner-managed businesses to private equity-backed organisations.

As Associate Director, you'll play a pivotal role across both compliance and advisory work, delivering high-quality tax advice and developing strong, trusted relationships with clients. You will be involved in the following:

  • Advising a broad range of clients on diverse tax issues, across compliance and advisory projects
  • Actively leading client meetings, addressing complex queries with clarity and confidence
  • Building trust through accurate, timely and insightful tax advice
  • Driving delivery of client work, engaging collaboratively with the wider tax teams to ensure projects are resourced effectively
  • Supporting and developing junior team members, helping them achieve their career goals
  • Providing proactive and creative tax solutions, while identifying opportunities to introduce wider services across the firm's network
  • Leading on proposals and pitches, actively contributing to the growth of the practice through market engagement

About you

We're looking for an experienced tax professional who combines technical expertise with a commercial mindset. At minimum, you will hold a professional qualification (CTA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with post-qualification experience, and be confident managing a portfolio of entrepreneurial clients.

Additional experience or attributes that would be highly valued include:

  • Strong technical knowledge of UK corporate tax legislation, and familiarity with international tax concepts
  • Proven experience reviewing work and supervising teams in a professional services environment
  • A track record of managing a substantial tax client portfolio
  • Demonstrable experience in business development and building new client relationships
  • A genuine interest in deepening your knowledge of the firm's broader service offering

This is an excellent opportunity to step into a senior, visible role where your expertise will be recognised, and your contribution will directly influence the continued growth of the Private Capital tax team.
