Job Title: Interim Credit Controller

Location: Leeds (Onsite)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Contract: 6 Months Fixed-term

About the Role

Marks Sattin are delighted to be working wih a growing business who are on the hunt for a Credit Controller for an intial 6 months FTC. This standalone role is ideal for someone with strong credit control experience who enjoys building relationships and thrives in a fast-paced, international environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the customer ledger, ensuring timely payments through statements, reminder letters, emails, and phone calls
  • Build strong relationships with UK and international customers' finance teams
  • Maintain accurate customer records, including contact details and payment terms
  • Collaborate with Sales, Warehouse, Logistics, and Customer Service teams to resolve invoice queries
  • Respond to customer invoice and delivery queries in coordination with the Customer Service team
  • Manage pro forma accounts, including placing customers on stop and liaising with Sales
  • Support the finance team with ad hoc tasks and provide cover when needed
  • Assist with debtor reporting and KPI tracking
  • Raise ad hoc customer invoices as required
  • Create new customer accounts and follow credit limit checking procedures
  • Ensure existing customer credit limits are accurate and up to date

Skills and Experience Required

  • Proven experience in credit control, including working with UK and overseas customers
  • Experience working in a small finance team or standalone finance role
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Sage 200 is desirable but not essential
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt
