Marks Sattin are delighted to be working with a global Advisory firm for an exciting and unique opportunity for a qualified finance professional to join as a Debt Advisory Director based in London.

The business are an award-winning Advisory firm with a very impressive track-record of delivering a fantastic range of deals.

Your New Role:

  • Review refinancing options to support growth strategies
  • Contribute to advice on optimal capital structures
  • Assist on negotiating new money fundraisings
  • Provide assistance on refinancing and restructuring existing debt facilities
  • Assist borrowers to manage their lenders in stressed situations
  • Carry out financial modelling, including analysing business forecasts, scenario analysis and covenant sensitivities
  • Contribute to the management of the transaction processes, including the preparation of information packs, presentations and financial analysis

In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to:

  • produce briefing notes and research relating to trends in the debt markets
  • research, collate and interpret data in order to present a complete picture of an organisation or sector
  • serve as a point of contact for clients in the day-to-day management of transactions
  • start to build own network of contacts (e.g. lawyers, accountants, consultants and potential clients such as junior staff at private equity firms)
  • make a contribution to the firm's Private Equity relationships

You'll ideally have:

  • Strong academic record
  • ACA/ACCA or CFA Qualified
  • Relevant past experience in investment banking, commercial banking, debt advisory or accounting. This could be in transaction services or related teams, such as audit, modelling, valuations, or Leveraged Finance, etc.
  • Strong financial modelling skills (Excel).
  • Experience of writing presentations (PowerPoint) and information memoranda (Word)
