Start your job searchThis is a fantastic opportunity for a driven and dynamic senior manager looking for growth in an international environment. This position will form a key part of the Asset Management Operations Senior Leadership team and be an integral part of the wider Investment Solutions and Services team. You will lead a team supporting the global operating model across all areas to ensure a best in class and globally consistent operational and governance model.
Staff management and development, including a continual drive for efficiency and improved productivity, are critical success factors for the role.
Duties will include:
- Shape and articulate vision, strategy, plans and goals for the team
- Work with Relevant Stakeholders to identify, define, improve, scale and optimise operational processes across all support activities
- Identify operational inefficiencies within the Asset Management post trade support applications and processes, and develop appropriate solutions leveraging technology and process automation teams to simplify, improve and transform the platforms
- Ensure that external service providers are suitable for business requirements, operating to expected standards (SLAs/KPIs) and performing within a strong control environment
- Communicate and report operational risks effectively to business partners and management.
- Lead in understanding new business requirements, directing projects and ensuring needed capabilities are established within the team by agreed deadlines
The successful applicant will have:
- Previous experience in the financial services sector leading complex, global operational teams
- Proven experience and knowledge of the investment management business and technical understanding of various security types
- Able to contribute in a collaborative, team-based environment, beyond the direct remit of the position
- Experience of running global and complex operational teams
- Proven Track record in managing outsourced functions
- Commercial mindset and ability to negotiate with vendors
