Start your job searchI am partnered with a multinational & multipurpose Bank that is looking for a Director of Counterparty Credit Risk to join the team in London

3 key components of this role include:
- Liaising with Front Office
- Senior Stakeholders Management
- Effective communication with your counterparty - Hedge Funds
Other responsibilities:
- Oversees and provide oversight of the Counterparty Credit Risk (policy, processes and controls) in accordance with the Bank's risk appetite. Owning the relationship with the counterparties from a second line perspective.
- Actively engage with front office risk management, ensuring that the counterparty credit risk monitoring is appropriate to the current market conditions.
- Work with the credit teams on the counterparty credit assessments on the setting of effective risk appetite for clients.
- Work closely with 1st line to identify potential risk to the portfolio and ensuring that risk profiles are appropriately monitored, including the monitoring of trends, limits, margins and stress testing results.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven Experience of working at Director level or Head of level within a similar sector (banking)
- Solid counterparty credit risk experience including strong knowledge of both market risk & credit risk within the banking sector.
- Ability to effectively liaise with front office/traders.
- Senior Stakeholders Management
- Able to showcase effective communication with your counterparty - Hedge Funds
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to influence management and to lead and work collaboratively across teams.
