Marks Sattin are currently recruiting for a growing SME manufacturing business in their search for a Finance Director to work out of their office based in Skelmersdale.
The successful candidate will need to be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified and must have worked for a manufacturing business previously. Strong technical accounting skills are absolutely essential and any experience of working within an SME organisation would be a distinct advantage. The ability to work 'hands on' is essential as this role will need someone to get into the detail of the accounts as well as assisting with the more strategic decisions. Excellent staff management skills are crucial as is the ability to work to tight deadlines. Any exposure to working with SAP would be a distinct advantage but not crucial. Key duties for the Finance Director role will involve:
- Lead on budgeting and forecasting
- Ensure month end and year end reporting is done timely and accurately
- Lead on improving processes and systems throughout the organisation
- Build relationships with banks, auditors etc.
- Cash-flow management
- Assist with the strategy of the business moving forward.
- Stock management
- Management of a small finance team
Salary for the role is anywhere between £90,000 and £105,000 + benefits
