Marks Sattin Executive Search is working with a Multisite Operational Property Business seeking a commercially-minded Number One Finance Director to drive the business through a period of organic and acquisitive growth.

The business has an impressive portfolio of premium sites across the UK, and are seeking to expand through further acquisitions. Having acquired several businesses in the last 3 years, you will be crucial to continuing their M&A and investment strategy. This will be achieved through raising capital as well as identifying and negotiating key real estate investment opportunities.

The Finance Director will act as a true business partner offering sustained commercial, financial, and operational input at the board level. Acting as a valued contributor to executive-level strategy through the preparation of detailed and incisive performance analysis, forecasting, and reporting. Responsibilities will include complete leadership of the finance team and overseeing the development and maintenance of financial systems and procedures, including IT systems.

Working alongside the CEO and investors, you will be a commercial and operational leader for the finance function, contributing to the strategic direction of the business, and focussing on executing a business plan to maximise growth and profitability. The maintenance and development of customer loyalty will be maximised by ensuring the highest standards across all sites.

Excellent communications skills will maintain relationships with capital providers and external advisors, as well as promote a culture passionate about growth across the business.

Requirements:

  • A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/ACMA)
  • Experience as a Finance Director
  • Experience managing large operational property portfolios, preferably in the hospitality or leisure sectors.
  • Experience of Buy and Build / M&A (acquisition and integration)
  • Ideally but not essentially exposure to and experience in fundraising
  • Excellent leadership, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.

Please understand that due to the expected high number of applications, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted directly
