My Client, a leader in the hospitality industry is looking to add a Finance Manager to their team for a 6 month period.

Purpose of the Role:

To support the restart of the business with a focus on cash forecasting, H2 forecast for balance sheet & cashflow. To support the property team with recording & calculating the impact of all lease negotiations.

Scope of the Role:

  • Sitting within the central/group function of the group
  • Update daily cashflow assumptions with post Covid changes
  • Update daily cashflow model & present to group FC & CFO
  • Update monthly balance sheet & Cashflow model & reconcile to daily cashflow model
  • Build property databases with all key lease information

Key Accountabilities:

Cashflow

  • Daily Cashflow
    • Update all key assumptions for post Covid changes
    • Report each week to group FC & CFO on latest cash projections
    • Report 3 cashflow scenarios (Base, upside & downside)
  • H2 Reforecast
  • Ownership of monthly balance sheet & Cashflow model for H2 reforecast
  • Support the group management accountant with preparation of group forecast deck
  • Property Reporting
    • Produce database of all lease information
    • Update AP team with new landlords & rental amounts
    • Work with management accounting team to account for the new leases
    • Provide insight to the business of rental savings vs plan
  • Ad hoc post transaction support

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or finalist.
  • Proven experience of managing cash, either in an accounting practice or within a commercial organisation.
  • An understanding of current tax issues and how to manage tax risk.
  • A track record for dealing with issues.

  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Previous role within a Hospitality/Restaraunt group
  • Proven ability to successfully manage multiple deadlines
  • Excellent tax knowledge
  • Good Accounting knowledge
  • Competent in excel
  • Excellent written communication skills
