London based oil & gas client with significant backing and commercial discoveries has a new position available for a qualified Finance Manager who has a proven track record in the oil & gas sector. The position supports the Finance Director and has responsibility for a team who provide the Executive Board with management information. Additional responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- JV partner liaison and preparing the annual budget
- Installing and maintaining a new accounting system
- Managing the month end reporting processes
- Preparation of Group and subsidiary financial statements
- Treasury and cash forecasting for each of the subsidiary companies
- Ad hoc project work assisting the Finance Director
Required is a qualified accountant (CA or equivalent) with a strong academic background and significant experience within the oil & gas industry. Familiarity with joint venture accounting and joint operating arrangements will be important as you lead a small team. Key to this position will be stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence internal and external parties. As the company embarks on a new phase of aggressive growth the incumbent will be expected to have the ability to embrace new challenge.
