Finance Supervisor (Accounts Payable & Receivable)

This is a hybrid role based in Dublin City Centre operating currently on two days in the office and three days working from home.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Finance Supervisor currently has responsibility for leading and developing a team of 4 people (within a larger team of 10 people) and is responsible for delivery of wide variety of finance operations within the Accounts function. The individual will play a key role in leading and developing a busy Accounts function driving high quality delivery and focus on a centre of excellence.

There is also a significant project focus within this role. A major new finance ERP system delivery project.

The individual will be a liaison, go-to contact for the Project teams and driver of all aspects of the Procure to Pay (P2P) project activities.

Key responsibilities:

Management of the day-to-day Accounts function, the individual will be responsible for oversight and support of delivery of:

  • Large volume purchase order and invoice processing and GL coding compliance
  • Miscellaneous income billing, debtor collections and associated reconciliations
  • Multiple weekly payment runs for Suppliers in line with prompt payment legislation
  • Staff expense reimbursement claims in accordance with relevant policies and procedures and Revenue guidance
  • Manage the cheque lodgements, credit card and petty cash activities
  • Input into the preparation of the annual budget and audit compliance activities
  • Strong Stakeholder engagement and management.
  • Statutory tax compliance (PSWT & RCT)
  • Policy compliance & enhancement
  • Preparation of key performance indicators and metrics monthly, and implement any necessary actions to improve performance.

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold a minimum of a NFQ level 8 qualification in a finance or business related discipline;
  • Have at least 5 years' experience in a supervisor role preferably in an Accounts focused function
  • Have strong MS office skills;
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Change Management experience desirable
