Start your job searchMarks Sattin have been engaged by an established Bristol business recruit a Financial Accountant on a permanent basis. This is a role with a great future ahead and opportunity to grow, a role that will support the Finance Director with month end tasks, financial accounting, upcoming projects, process improvement and driving the day to day finance function.
The Financial Accountant role will be paying between £50k and £60k per annum plus discretionary bonus and a hybrid working pattern of 3 days in the office.
The Financial Accountant Role
This role would suit a qualified Accountant with a strong grasp of financial accounting, monthly accounting, financial reporting and worked within an SME environment ideally.
A chance to grow in this role and work towards a future Financial Controller seat, developing the team and processes alongside the support of the Finance Director.
Key responsibilities include:
- Oversee the General Ledger process
- Manage the month end process
- Intercompany reconciliations
- VAT/Corporation Tax returns
- Lead the year end process with assistance of Finance Director
- Guide, supervise and develop the AP/AR function
Key Skills and Experience
- ACCA/ACA/ qualified
- Intermediate Excel Skills (pivot tables/lookups)
- Financial reporting/basic tax experience
- Keen interest in process improvement and forward thinking approach
