We are currently recruiting for a Financial Controller for our client, a biotechnology company in Amsterdam. The company works project-based for their clients, and they produce medicine and semi-finished products. In this position, you will be responsible for the monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing processes, reporting, intercompany reconciliation, and accruals. You are advising the Head of Finance as being a sparring partner.
The role
- Preparing monthly, quarterly and yearly closing process and reporting;
- Preparing financial reports and making economic analyses for management in coordination with the Finance Manager
- Preparing actual vs budget reports;
- Interest and loan reporting
- General ledger accounts, audits, KPI monitoring;
- Anomaly analysis incl. monthly reporting;
- Supporting the Planning cycles;
- Internal control;
- Preparing VAT and CBS returns;
- Intercompany reconciliation and processing IC charges;
- Record keeping and reporting on assets;
- Improvements of processes and administrative organization;
- Salary administration, weekly payment run and credit card administration
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance or economics;
- 5 years of relevant experience in a similar position as a financial controller;
- Experience in an international company;
- Good knowledge of Excel and Navision or SAP;
- Fluent in English, knowledge of Dutch language is not mandatory but would be a good plus;
- You are eligible to work in the Netherlands (valid work permit - visas won't be sponsored)
- You are available to start before the 1st of January;
- You are available for 32 - 40 hours a week;
- You live in the area of Amsterdam and don't mind going to the office 4 days a week;
- You are proactive, hands-on and have good communication skills
Offer
- Annual salary between 64.000 - 83.000;
- One-year contract with the intention to extend to a permanent contract;
- 30 holidays;
- Travel allowance;
- Pension allowance;
