Start your job searchMarks Sattin Birmingham are working with a high growth construction business in the Midlands who have a new requirement for a Financial Controller.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a well-capitalised, innovative and dynamic business. Working as part their Finance Team, under the leadership of the FD Designate, the Financial Controller will be supporting all financial activities of the business and assist delivering the growth required in the business plan. The Financial Controller will provide the insight into the financial performance of the business as well as identifying specific risks and opportunities.
- Monthly management accounts, with associated analysis including variance report and risk analysis supported by commentary
- Working with the management team to develop a robust 5 year business plan with aggressive growth
- Financial modelling to accurately forecast profit and loss, balance sheet and cashflow
- Business partnering providing appropriate levels of challenge to other business functions
- Improve processes, controls and system development to produce efficient, best in class working practices
- Support the Group Finance Functions to ensure all statutory returns are prepared accurately and properly filed.
Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- Relevant industry experience in a similar role i.e. construction, civil engineering, contracting, infrastructure etc7
- Strong technical accountant
- Financial forecasting across short and long term, including the development of bespoke modelling.
- Significant analytical skillset
- Ability to solve complex problems
- High level of commercial acumen
- Advanced user of MS Excel
