The Role: Financial Reporting Accountant

The Location: London City Centre (Hybrid working)

The Client: Real Estate Investment Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare annual financial statements under various GAAPs (UK, Dutch, Luxembourg, IFRS).
  • Lead the audit process, including preparation of audit files and addressing queries.
  • Strengthen internal controls and ensure accurate reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with finance, legal, and accounting teams to ensure proper revenue recognition.
  • Coordinate with tax advisors for timely submission of tax returns.
  • Oversee VAT and regulatory filings across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Prepare board packs and financial analysis reports.
  • Submit statutory and regulatory reports (e.g., PPPR, ONS).
  • Supervise shared service centre outputs and outsourced providers.
  • Support global finance teams with accounting data and queries.

Requirements

  • ACA or ACCA qualified with 5+ years of experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of local GAAP, IFRS, and US GAAP.
  • Expertise in financial, tax, and regulatory reporting.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and process improvement focused.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Proficient in Excel; experience with ERP and reporting tools (e.g., PeopleSoft, OneStream, Trintech Cadency) is a plus.
