Financial Reporting Accountant, Swindon (100% remote is available) £25-30 an hour, 3 months
Are you a Qualified Accountant with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for delivering high-quality financial reporting? We are seeking a Financial Reporting Accountant to lead a critical finance project and ensure robust financial governance across the organisation.

Role Overview
You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the financial accounting process for a designated finance project. This includes overseeing year-end reporting, statutory disclosures, and IR35 compliance, while driving the project to successful completion.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting and Year-End
Establish and manage financial accounts for the allocated project
Prepare all statutory disclosures and ensure readiness for group year-end reporting
Project Management
Lead and deliver the finance project to completion
Support ad hoc tasks within the financial accounts team
Lead the review and enhancement of IR35 compliance processes
Design and implement a streamlined contractor evaluation system in line with current legislation and business needs

Training, Experience and Qualifications
Fully Qualified Accountant
Experience preparing statutory accounts
Proven track record in finance project management

Knowledge and Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Effective collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial data
Logical and critical thinking to resolve issues
Significant reconciliation experience, including error identification and correction
High attention to detail
Relationship Management and Partnership Working
Demonstrates emotional intelligence
Builds and maintains strong customer relationships
Advanced user of Microsoft Office
Experience with finance systems
Results Orientation
Committed to meeting targets and deadlines
Sees projects through to completion
Interest in improving and developing finance systems
