GROUP FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT - Leatherhead - WFH 2/3 days a week

The role:

Recent growth has created a new position for a Group Financial Accountant. Reporting to the Group Finance Manager in the consolidation of a large global group

Responsibilities:

• Producing & posting monthly consolidation & elimination journals for the group
• Produce consolidated annual statutory accounts and individual UK entity statutory accounts (all currently prepared under FRS 102)
• Organising the collection, review and consolidation of year-end disclosure data
• Point of contact for the auditors and assisting the audit process across the global group
• Playing a key role in the successful implementation of a new group financial consolidation system
• Supporting the accounting for, and on-boarding of, new acquisitions to the group
• Supporting the adoption of new accounting standards as appropriate across the group
• Engaging with Group Tax, Treasury, Financial Systems, Legal & Internal Audit teams as required
• Supporting continuous improvement across processes, controls, statutory reporting and application of accounting standards

Skills and experience required include:

• ACA qualified - first mover from practice
• Strong technical accounting knowledge
