Start your job searchMy client are a large Financial Services group in Kent offering valuable experience for an established financial accountant to join their group function to take ownership of several entities within the group.
Whilst this role will predominantly be working from home, you may be required to travel to their Maidstone office once or twice a week.
This is a highly acquisitive business, and this role will enable to learn and apply your accounting skills related to disposals, liquidation and restructuring, as well as giving you valuable insight into the lucrative Insurance industry.
In addition, you role will be responsible for the production of all statutory accounts for Legacy companies to an agreed timetable and for preparing and posting the required journals to recognise the liquidation adjustments in the general ledger.
As part of the Statutory, Liquidation & Restructuring team, you will assist in audit planning, timetabling, instructions, discussions, training and engaging with all stakeholders in the planning process as well as taking the lead on resolving audit queries for assigned Legacy companies by liaising with other departments and the auditors.
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA preferred)
- Practice trained with track record of producing statutory accounts under IFRS and UK GAAP
- Experience in liquidations/restructuring would be advantageous
- Resilient and diligent individual, with keen eye for detail
- Confident speaking to various other stakeholders within the group
- Ability to commute to Maidstone, Kent once or twice a week
