Role
As Group Financial Accountant, you will play a pivotal role within the finance team ensuring the delivery of high-quality financial information to help drive the Group's performance. The role involves managing month-end processes, audits and treasury management as well as supporting budgetary and forecasting processes.
Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of the group's monthly and annual consolidations, both for management and statutory account purposes.
- Accountability for all aspects of accounting/reporting for Head Office companies.
- Preparation of monthly submissions to Investors, and provision of commentary on the group's management results.
- Support the budget and any reforecast preparation.
- Liaising with external parties as necessary, e.g. auditors, banks.
- Improving and streamlining both the existing group consolidations and accounting processes.
- Group treasury management, including preparation of cash forecast, and hedging.
- Assist CFO on ad-hoc tasks/projects including corporate transactions.
Successful Candidate
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA or equivalent)
- Consolidation or multi-site business experience.
- Good communication skills - both presentational and verbal.
- Strong excel skills.
- Ability to manage to deadlines.
- Strong process improvement skills.
- An analytical mind with a keen eye for detail.
