Marks Sattin are working in partnership with an impressive, large blue chip organisation to recruit a Group Reporting Accountant on a full-time permanent basis. My client are leaders in their industry and have an global presence in the market with a very impressive turnover. This is a hybrid working role, with 2 days expected at my clients offices.

The Group Reporting Accountant will report to the Head of Financial Reporting and will demonstrate great knowledge of IFRS and GAAP, and will be responsible for the internal and external financial reporting for the Group and will be the key point of contact for Group Auditor's. The Group Reporting Accountant will liaise with a variety of stakeholders from the wider Financial Reporting team, FP&A, Tax, Treasury and Internal Audit - so great interpersonal skills are a must!


Responsibilities of the Group Reporting Accountant include:

  • Providing technical knowledge and guidance on IFRS and GAAP providing insight into Group reporting policies
  • Ensuring standardised reporting and maintaining robust internal controls, and driving improvements where necessary
  • Building solid relationships with finance across the global entities and ensure consistency and standardised practices and procedures across the divisions
  • Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of Group consolidations
  • Providing input where necessary to the Group's portfolio of leases under IFRS16
  • Liaising effectively with various internal stakeholders, from: Financial Reporting team, FP&A, Tax, Treasury and Internal Audit
  • Responsible for the monthly reporting and budgeting/forecasting for the Group
  • Assisting in complex post-acquisition projects where necessary and ensuring reporting is in line with Group standards and procedures
  • Playing an integral role in the year-end process to deliver the consolidated audit
  • Liaising with the external audit team with complex queries


The ideal candidate will be:

  • A fully qualified accountant, ideally ACA Qualified and perhaps a first or second time mover from a Big 4 or Top 10 Accounting firm
  • A technically strong accountant with IFRS and GAAP knowledge
  • Experienced auditing large corporate and listed Plc's
  • Interpersonally strong, with the ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders
  • Able to work to tight deadline, demonstrating accuracy and attention to detail
  • An individual keen to improve processes and drive efficiencies where necessary
  • A proficient systems user with good Excel skills
