Group Tax Specialist 14 Months FTC / Yorkshire / £45,000 - £55,000 DOE with Benefits

Marks Sattin are working with an extremely successful Financial Services business in Yorkshire. They are currently looking for someone who has experience in tax, who will enjoy working in a fast paced and agile environment.

The Role:

Within this role you will be joining a tax team of four, working closely with finance teams across the Group as well as providing expertise in tax compliance queries from around the business. This is a varied tax role where you will be responsible to ensure timely and accurate reporting, including submission of tax payments and necessary returns to HMRC. They also pride themselves on the work/life balance and support hybrid and flexible working, as well as having vibrant and collaborative working spaces. The expectation within this role is to attend the office on once a fortnight basis.


Day to Day

  • Group VAT returns.
  • Preparation of Corporation Tax Self -Assessment quarterly payments.
  • Preparation and filing of Corporation tax comps.
  • Preparation of monthly & quarterly Corep / Capital numbers.
  • Preparation of Senior Accounting Officer returns.
  • Adhoc queries and administration.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience working within a tax team.
  • Being highly organised.
  • Have experience working collaboratively with teams to deliver to deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholders.
