Start your job searchRare opportunity for an interim Finance Director to join a multi award-winning events company who will play a crucial role in shaping the financial performance of the company. You will oversee all financial aspects, ensuring sound financial management and control, driving profitability and identifying margin opportunities in this competitive food and beverage sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership to the operational financial team
- Monitor cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity to meet operational needs
- Proactively identifying profit, income and margin improvement opportunities
- Work with the various operational teams to identify opportunities and mitigate risks
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies
- Lead the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting process
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and tax returns
- Manage the annual audit
- Work with the FC to ensure smooth running of the payroll postings
- Oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts and board packs
- Ensure tight management of cost centres ensuring that spend remains under control and within agreed parameters - both at head office and event level. Implement cost saving measures to increase profitability.
- Develop deep, professional relationships with our clients' finance counterparts and their teams
- Manage the pre and post event accounting for the two major festivals (P&L, recharges, settlements etc)
Successful Candidate
- Degree level in field or higher
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Available immediately or at short notice
- Proven experience as a Finance Director or similar commercial role (ideally within the F&B / retail sector), with a strong understanding of P&L management and accounting.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a finance team
