Job Title: Senior Pricing Analyst

Contract Length: 6 months

Reports To: Head of Pricing

Location: Warwickshire (Hybrid)

Rate: £400 - £500 per day (Depending on Experience)

About the Role:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Interim Senior Pricing Analyst to join my client, a fast‑paced, commercially driven organisation based in the Warwickshire region. This role is a pivotal role within the pricing function, with a responsibility for leading the development, governance, and continuous improvement of pricing models and analytical tools that directly influence commercial performance.

You'll combine hands‑on technical expertise with strategic insight, ensuring pricing issues are identified, investigated, and resolved efficiently. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys owning complex analytical frameworks, shaping pricing strategy, and influencing decision‑making across a broad stakeholder group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the management, enhancement, and governance of the business's pricing model and associated analytical tools.
  • Analyse pricing data, sales trends, industry benchmarks, and competitor activity to provide actionable recommendations to commercial leaders.
  • Design and oversee the development of advanced analytical and measurement tools to identify market shifts and emerging pricing opportunities.
  • Maintain, automate, and optimise Python and Excel‑based pricing tools and databases to ensure accuracy, scalability, and alignment with commercial strategy.
  • Implement data‑driven pricing interventions that balance margin optimisation with market competitiveness.
  • Conduct regular pricing performance reviews, identifying root causes, risks, and opportunities to support business‑wide decision making.
  • Collaborate closely with commercial, sales, finance, and operational teams to ensure pricing logic is understood, adopted, and effectively executed.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Expertise in Power BI (or similar BI tools) for visualisation and reporting.
  • Strong experience with SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and database management.
  • Strong foundation in business, finance and mathematics with the ability to apply analytical techniques to pricing and commercial decision making.
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical models into clear, actionable insights for non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Confident communicator able to challenge, influence, and collaborate across commercial, sales, finance, and operational teams.
  • Experience with ERP pricing systems
  • Background working for a fast paced, multi‑site organisation is advantageous.

Why This Role?

  • High‑impact position with visibility across the commercial organisation
  • Opportunity to shape pricing strategy and analytical capability
  • Hybrid working model offering flexibility and balance
  • A fast‑paced environment where your expertise will directly influence performance

A quick start can be available for the right person. If you feel you meet the requirements of my client, we'd love to hear from you!
