Start your job searchMarks Sattin are working with a Leeds City Centre based Legal Firm who are looking to recruit an ambitious and analytical Finance professional for the role of Junior Finance Analyst. This role offers clear progression and fantastic support towards achieving becoming a fully qualified Accountant. This role involves in-depth analysis and involvement in month-end reporting. Other duties include:
- Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, both within finance and the divisions.
- Undertaking projects to support the wider finance function from time to time as required.
- Producing information and highlight areas of risk to the business
- Responsibility for driving improvement, billing quality and financial housekeeping within the divisions.
- Management of divisional WIP, and the status of ongoing matters.
- Liaising with fee earners and partners to ensure client monies are dealt with.
- Challenge stakeholders on areas that require improvement.
- Regular meetings with partners, fee earners and PA's to review all matters.
- Undertake specific firm wide projects including audits and targeting work in progress that is greater than 1 year old.
- Month end and firm-wide reporting and Identifying process to improve client lock up.
- Ensuring that the reporting on secondments is up to date
- Education of fee earners, partners and PA's in financial processes and procedures relating to engagement to the cash cycle.
- Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, both within finance and the divisions.
- Undertaking ad hoc projects to support the wider finance function from time to time as required.
