Senior Management Accountant (12-Month FTC)

Hybrid - 2 days in Manchester City Centre

**About Us:**

We are a dynamic and forward-thinking company seeking a highly skilled Senior Management Accountant to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with two days per week based in our Manchester city centre office.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Lead and take full ownership of the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

- Conduct detailed variance analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.

- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations.

- Collaborate with various departments to ensure financial data integrity and support business decision-making.

- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, monitoring performance against these targets.

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

- Support the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors as required.

**Ideal Candidate:**

- **ACA/ACCA/ACMA qualified accountant is preferred but not essential

- Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of management accounting principles.

- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of presenting financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

- Experience in managing a small team is desirable but not essential.
