Founded and led by a number finance professionals from both advisory and corporate backgrounds, the team provides hands on finance and commercial expertise to support finance directors and senior teams through transactions and special projects.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant to join a dynamic business where you'll have a lot of input from the start contributing to the businesses decision making.
The ideal candidate is someone who is self-motivated, keen to add value and willing to support the Operations Director and wider business to help maximise profitability through insightful financial reporting, data analysis and the general efficiency..
Key Responsibilities
- Process month end journals
- Perform monthly P&L and BS reviews and associated reconciliations
- Draft for review and process quarterly VAT returns
- Establish timetable and run day to day year end process
- Working with the administrative/delivery team to ensure that the accounts receivable and accounts payable process runs smoothly and all the relevant data entered is accurate
- Provide timely and insightful financial reports and analysis to support the business in decision making and goal achievement
- Prepare weekly management accounts including KPIs
- Undertaken analysis as required on Company performance, highlighting areas of concern or risk
- Develop analysis as required to support the development and subsequent measurement of sales strategies
- Support the management of key supplier contracts through analysis, reporting and benchmarking
- Support the IT lead in maintaining effective finance systems to ensure efficient and accurate billing, payment and reporting
- Contribute to the overall day to day running of the business
Qualifications / Experience
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA / CIMA / ACCA or equivalent)
- Strong excel skills - quick and accurate manipulation of data
- Experience of data processing tools e.g. power query / bi
- Industry experience in Business Partner roles or special projects or support function role in professional services
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Effective planning and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Ability to work to tight deadlines when required
- Ability to translate data into relevant business information
- Clear and articulate report writing skills
