Marks Sattin are delighted to be recruiting for a proactive and detail-oriented Management Accountant perm basis. As a Management Accountant, you will provide crucial support to the Senior Accounting team. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing accurate and comprehensive monthly management accounts.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Accurately and timely post journal entries.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations for designated areas.
- Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Assist in audit processes by preparing necessary documentation.
- Support the preparation of year-end statutory accounts.
- Maintain and enhance robust processes and controls in line with Group requirements.
- Ensure consistent documentation of tasks and activities per internal policies.
- Continuously review and improve finance processes and controls.
About you
- Part qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA accountant
- Proven experience in preparing monthly management accounts, financial statements, and reports.
- Experience with financial audits and statutory account preparation.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and financial modelling.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage and interpret financial data accurately.
- Ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and take proactive steps to address them.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
